After harvest, the cherries were sold to Migoti Coffee, who processed the lot at their washing station in Migoti Hill.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eMigoti Coffee was founded in 2015 by engineers Pontien Ntunzwenimana and Dan Brose. They set out to connect Burundian smallholders to international buyers through quality processing and transparent supply chains. At the washing station, cherries are sorted, fermented for a day, then pulped and washed. The coffee is pre-dried in the shade for five days before moving to raised beds in the sun for two to three weeks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eWe roast it to bring out that plum sweetness and bright acidity.
